This playbook removes every excuse.
Huntsville is Alabama's fastest-growing city with over $1 billion in new distribution and manufacturing investment. Amazon, Mazda Toyota, Polaris, Navistar — they all operate here and they all use temp staffing. The market is not the problem. The only variable between a BDS who wins and one who doesn't is daily, consistent activity. This playbook gives you everything else.
The territory is wide open. Huntsville's industrial market drew $171 million in investment in Q2 2025 alone. New companies are setting up. They need workers. You are the bridge.
You have a real product. Companies need workers. Workers need jobs. Wulf Talent fills that gap. You are not selling something people don't want — you're solving a problem they have every single week.
Who to call, what to say, when to follow up. It's all in here. Your job is to show up, open the document, and execute the steps in order. No guessing required.
Commission is fair and compounding. 10% of gross margin grows every time a placed worker clocks in. Stack accounts and the math builds itself into a real monthly income.
If you don't succeed in 90 days, this playbook will show exactly where you stopped executing. Wulf Talent's 30/60/90 check-ins exist to catch that early — not to judge you, but to help you course-correct before it's too late.
"Every no gets you one step closer to a yes. The math always works in your favor — if you keep going."
On Rejection
"Huntsville is one of the fastest-growing cities in America. Someone is landing these accounts. Make sure it's you."
On Opportunity
"Your commission check isn't paid by Wulf Talent — it's paid by your activity log from 60 days ago."

Your Daily Schedule — What Every Field Day Looks Like

Your calendar is your commission blueprint. What you do at 8am this week deposits into your account next month. Commission-only means your effort is your salary. There's no base safety net — and that's the best motivator in the world. Protect your mornings fiercely. Every hour in the field beats every hour at your desk. Get out of your car and into facilities.

Zone strategy: Spend your first two weeks in Zone 1 and Zone 2 only. These two zones have enough targets to fill your 90-day pipeline. Once you have 2–3 active accounts from there, expand to Zone 3 and 4. Depth always beats breadth in month one.
Your Complete Script Library — Every Situation Covered
01
Walk-In Scripts
At the Facility — Every Scenario
Front desk, warehouse manager, food drop, handling objections, closing for a meeting.
🚪 Walk-In
Script 1 — Front Desk / Reception
Opening — Getting Past the Gatekeeper "Hi! My name's [Your Name] — I'm with Wulf Talent, a staffing agency based here in Alabama focused on warehouse and light industrial. I'm not here to sell anything today, I just wanted to introduce myself and drop off some information for whoever handles staffing or operations. Is there a manager or HR contact I could leave this with?"

If they offer to take it:
"Perfect, thank you. Could I ask — what's the best name to address my follow-up to? I want to make sure it gets to the right person and doesn't get buried on a desk."

If they say "We don't use agencies" / "We're not hiring":
"Completely understand — most companies already have someone. I'm not asking to replace anyone. I just want to be the call you make when your current agency falls short at 5am on a Monday. Could I leave this one-pager in case that day comes?"
Your ONLY goal at reception: get a name and leave the PDF. That's a win. Don't pitch the receptionist — they cannot sign a contract. Save your energy for the decision-maker.
Script 2 — Direct to Warehouse or Ops Manager
The 60-Second First Pitch — Use This Every Time "Hey [Name], I won't take more than two minutes — I know how busy things get. I'm [Your Name] with Wulf Talent. We're an Alabama-based staffing agency focused on warehouse and light industrial placements across North Alabama. I'm not here to pitch a big contract. I just want to ask you one thing: what's your biggest frustration with staffing right now?"

[STOP. Let them answer. Do not interrupt. Their response IS your pitch.]

If they say workers don't show up:
"That's the number one thing I hear everywhere I go. Here's what we do differently — I personally vet every worker we place and I have their direct number. If someone doesn't show, I'm calling a replacement before you've finished telling me. That's not a sales line — that's how we operate. Can I show you how that's worked for our current clients?"

If they say fill times are too slow:
"We place within 24 hours. Every time. That's a promise, not a pitch. When do you next have an opening I can prove that with? Let me earn the business — one order."

If they say quality is inconsistent:
"We send you a brief summary of every worker before they walk in the door — their history, reliability, any certifications. You know who's coming before they arrive. No national agency does this. It's exactly what keeps our clients."
"What's your biggest frustration?" is the single most powerful question in your script. Never skip it. Their answer hands you the close on a silver platter every single time.
Script 3 — The Food Drop (Highest Walk-In Success Rate)
Walk in with donuts, Chick-fil-A, or a Whataburger bag "Hi! I'm [Name] from Wulf Talent — a local staffing agency. I'm dropping these off for the ops team as a way to say hello. No agenda — just wanted to introduce ourselves and let y'all know we're here if you ever need warehouse staffing support."

[Someone almost always comes to the front. When they do:]
"Hey! I'm [Name] — are you on the operations side here?"
[YES → launch Script 2 immediately.]
[NO → "Who would be the right person to leave my info with for staffing?"]
A $25–$35 food drop gets you face time and goodwill. The ROI is absurd. Do this at your top 5 Huntsville targets in Week 1 before any other approach.
Script 4 — "We Already Have an Agency"
The Backup Option Reframe — Works Every Time "That's great — a good agency is worth keeping. I'm not asking to replace them. Here's what I'm actually offering: a backup option. Because every manager I talk to has had at least one moment where their main agency let them down — a no-show at 5am, a big shipment Friday afternoon, nobody picks up the phone. When that happens to you, I want my number already in your phone. That's all I'm asking for today."

Then immediately ask:
"When was the last time something like that happened?"

[Let them tell the story. That story is your close — every time without exception.]
Script 5 — Closing for the Follow-Up Meeting
End Every Walk-In Visit With This Line "I don't want to take more of your time today. Here's what I'd love to do — can I come back [specific day] for just 15 minutes and show you exactly how we work? I'll bring references from our current clients and walk you through our placement process. If it makes sense, great. If not, no hard feelings at all."

If they're too busy:
"Completely understand. Can I get your email? I'll send a 3-sentence note so you have our info, and I'll follow up in a couple weeks when things slow down."

The rule: Always leave with something. A name. An email. A follow-up date. A PDF in hand. Never leave a facility empty-handed.

Cold Call Opener
First Call — The Open That Doesn't Get Hung Up On "Hey [Name], this is [Your Name] calling from Wulf Talent — we're an Alabama-based warehouse and light industrial staffing agency. Quick question and I'll let you go: what's your biggest headache with staffing right now?"

If they say they're busy:
"I hear you. Can I just text you our info? Takes 10 seconds and you'll have a local contact for when you need a fast fill. What's the best number?"
Email — Subject Lines That Get Opened
Test all three — the winner varies by zone and company type Option A: "Huntsville warehouse staffing — filled in 24 hours"
Option B: "Quick question about your temp labor situation"
Option C: "Local staffing — no long-term contracts to start"

Email Body — 5 Sentences Maximum Hi [Name],

I work with Wulf Talent — a staffing agency focused on warehouse and light industrial placements across North Alabama. We fill temp and temp-to-hire roles within 24 hours, and you get my direct cell — not a call center.

No long-term commitment required to start. Worth a 15-minute call to see if we'd be a useful backup option?

Hey [Name],

I've reached out a few times — completely fine that you haven't replied. I know the inbox is real.

My cell: [phone]. Save it as "Wulf Talent Huntsville" — you'll be glad you did.

Objection Handling
Every "No" Has an Answer
The 6 most common objections you'll hear and exactly how to respond to each one.
🛡️ Objections
Objection 1 — "We're not hiring right now""That's actually the best time to talk. Companies that aren't actively hiring today will have an urgent need in 30–60 days. I'd rather you have my number before that moment hits than scramble to find someone when it does. Can I leave you my info just in case?"
Objection 2 — "We use a national agency and they're fine""I respect that. Here's the only question worth asking: have they ever let you down? If not, keep them. But if there's been even one morning where they left you short-staffed — that's the exact situation I exist to fix. I'll be the backup call you're glad you have."
Objection 3 — "Your rates are probably too high""Give me one order. I'll show you our rate and you can compare it yourself. We're competitive with national agencies, and we make up any small difference in response time. A vendor who answers at 5am is worth more than a 2% savings every time."
Objection 4 — "We're too busy to deal with switching""You don't have to switch anything. Just add me as a contact. If your current agency has a bad week, one text to me and I'll handle it. Zero onboarding needed for the first order — we can start with a single worker today."
Objection 5 — "Send me some info and I'll look at it""Absolutely. What's the best email? [Get it.] And while I have you — what type of role is hardest for you to fill quickly? I'll make sure what I send is actually relevant to your situation."
Objection 6 — "I need to run it by my boss / corporate""Of course. Could I ask — when that conversation happens, what's the top question you'd want answered about a new staffing vendor? I want to give you exactly what you need to make that conversation easy."
No objection is a final door. Every objection is a question in disguise. When you hear "no" — ask yourself what they're actually worried about. Answer that worry and the "no" almost always softens.
Realistic Commission Projections — Your Actual Earning Potential

10% of gross margin compounds faster than you think once you have 3 accounts running. Gross margin on a North Alabama warehouse account typically runs 40–50% of bill rate. At $17/hr bill rate with 45% margin, that's $7.65/hr per worker. One account with 5 workers on 40 hrs/week = $1,530/week gross margin. Your cut: $153/week — from one account. Stack four accounts and you're approaching $3,000/month. Huntsville's industrial wage floor is growing fast as the city expands.

Month 1 — First Account Landed
You close your first account at Jetplex or Limestone County. 3 workers placed, consistent schedule.
Bill rate$17/hr
Gross margin (45%)$7.65/hr per worker
3 workers × 40hrs × 4 weeks$3,672 gross margin
Your commission (10%)~$367/mo
Small but real. Every income starts somewhere. This account grows — 3 workers becomes 5, then 8. Your commission grows without needing a new client.
Month 2 — Two Active Accounts
First account grows to 5 workers. Second account signed — automotive supplier zone, 3 workers.
Account 1: 5 workers × $7.65 × 160 hrs$6,120 GM
Account 2: 3 workers × $7.65 × 160 hrs$3,672 GM
Combined gross margin$9,792
Your commission (10%)~$979/mo
Approaching $1,000/month with two accounts. Momentum is visible. This is where the habit of daily activity starts paying off in real dollars.
Month 3–4 — The Turning Point
4 accounts active. Mix of warehouse and light industrial. Average 5 workers each at slightly higher bill rate.
4 accounts × 5 workers × $8.10/hr margin
($18 bill rate, 45% margin, 160 hrs/mo)$25,920 GM
Your commission (10%)~$2,592/mo
This is your inflection point. 4 healthy accounts at $2,500+ means you're building toward a real income. One more account pushes past $3K.
Month 5–6 — Full Pipeline Running
6 accounts. Mix: 3 smaller (4 workers), 2 mid-size (7 workers), 1 larger industrial (10 workers).
Small (3 × 4 workers × $7.65 × 160)$14,688 GM
Mid (2 × 7 workers × $8.10 × 160)$18,144 GM
Large (1 × 10 workers × $8.55 × 160)$13,680 GM
Your commission (10%)~$4,651/mo
Six months in, nearly $5K/month in commission. Achievable with consistent daily activity. The plan works — if you execute it daily.
Commission Ramp Projection
Month 1: 1 account · 3 workers~$367/mo
Month 2: 2 accounts · 8 workers~$979/mo
Month 3: 3 accounts · 14 workers~$1,714/mo
Month 4: 4 accounts · 20 workers~$2,592/mo
Month 5: 5 accounts · 28 workers~$3,528/mo
Month 6: 6 accounts · 38 workers (mixed rates)~$4,651/mo

* Based on 45% gross margin on $17–19/hr average bill rate in the North Alabama market. Industrial accounts in Decatur and Limestone County command $19–22/hr bill rates, which significantly accelerates this projection.

Your 6-Week Sprint → 90-Day Pipeline
Week 1 — Plant Your Flag
Own Jetplex First
Drive Zone 1 (Jetplex Industrial Park) three mornings this week. Walk into 6–8 facilities per session. Your only goal this week: leave your one-pager and collect names. Set up your CRM (HubSpot free), your Google Business profile, and send 15 LinkedIn connection requests to Huntsville ops managers. You are not closing this week — you are becoming a familiar face in your zone.

Week 2 — First Follow-Ups
Turn Names Into Conversations
Call everyone from Week 1. "Hi, this is [Name] from Wulf Talent — I stopped by Tuesday and left my info." Add Zone 2 (Limestone County / MTM supplier area) to your drive days. Launch your 5-touch email sequence for the contacts you found online. Goal this week: 2 people who are genuinely interested in learning more. These are your first pipeline entries.

Week 3 — First Real Meetings
Get in the Room
Convert warm conversations into scheduled meetings — phone calls count. Come prepared: know their industry, know that Huntsville's Mazda Toyota and Amazon are driving demand for warehouse workers, and know that you can fill faster than any national agency. Your first proposal should go out this week. Not signed immediately? That's normal — nurture it.

Weeks 4–5 — Close Account #1
The First "Yes" Changes Everything
Follow up on every proposal. "I sent the proposal Thursday — did you get to review it?" When you close your first account — even 2 workers — do exceptional work. Call the client 3 days in. Ask how the worker is performing. That check-in call builds loyalty that lasts years. Then ask: "Do you know any other ops managers who might need staffing support?" That referral is your next close.

Week 6 — Build the Machine
Duplicate What Worked
You have one client and a forming pipeline. Now replicate. What zone did your first client come from? Go deeper there. What objection did you overcome to close them? Use that answer in every future pitch. Keep your daily minimums up — this is where most BDS reps get comfortable and slow down. Don't. The next 30 days of activity determine your month-3 paycheck.

Days 60–90 — The Compound Effect
Stack Accounts. Protect Relationships.
By month 3 you should have 3–5 active accounts. Split your time: 60% new prospecting, 40% nurturing current accounts. Call your existing clients weekly. Check in on every placed worker. A client who never hears from you is a client who takes the next BDS's call. Your commission grows as long as accounts stay healthy and workers show up. Never stop prospecting — even with a full pipeline.
3–5 active accounts$1,700–$2,600/mo commissionNever stop prospectingReferral network building

Commission is just delayed proof of work you already did.
The calls you make this week show up in your account next month. Huntsville is one of the fastest-growing cities in America. The warehouses are here. The companies are here. The workers are here. Everything you need to build a real income already exists in this market. The only missing ingredient is a BDS who shows up every single day and executes this playbook. That BDS is you — or it's someone else. Make it you.

First Progress Review
One month in — we sit down together and look at your real activity numbers, your first conversations, and what's working versus what needs adjustment. This is a coaching call, not a performance review.
Activity audit: Visits, dials, emails, and pipeline entries reviewed together
Pipeline health check: Who's warm? Who needs a different approach?
Script coaching: What objections are coming up most? We sharpen your responses.
Zone strategy: Are you in the right zones? Are you missing any high-value targets?
First close debrief: If you've closed an account, we celebrate and replicate. If not, we fix it together.

Mid-Point Momentum Check
Two months in — this is the make-or-break window. Most BDS reps who struggle do so because they eased up after their first close. This check-in exists to catch that before it costs you month 3.
Commission review: Month 1 and 2 actual earnings vs. projection — what's the gap?
Account health: Are your placed workers showing up? Are your clients happy?
Pipeline depth: How many accounts are in negotiation or proposal stage right now?
New zone expansion: Time to start Zone 3 and 4 if you haven't yet.
Referral strategy: Have you asked every current client for an introduction? This is where growth accelerates.

Full pipeline review: Total accounts, total workers placed, total gross margin generated
Commission trajectory: Are you on track to hit $3K/mo by month 6? What's the plan to get there?
Relationship quality: Are your clients referring you? Are workers returning? This is the proof of your service.
Next 90-day plan: Zones to expand, accounts to grow, referral network to build intentionally
Honest assessment: If the activity was there and results weren't, we troubleshoot. If activity wasn't there, we know why.
